Option II founding partners Beverly Damore and Sarah Stuckey spoke at the “Marketing for the Nonprofit Organization” class in the Non-Profit Leadership and Management program at Arizona State University.
The program teaches the leaders of non-profit organizations basic methodologies and practices of marketing and public relations, and Damore and Stuckey talked to the group about cost-effective strategies and techniques, including securing – and keeping – media coverage.
Before forming Option II, Stuckey and Damore worked together as co-interim Chief Executive Officers of the non-profit Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, based in Scottsdale, Ariz. Stuckey was the organization’s Chief Financial Officer and Damore was its Chief Operating Officer. Both oversaw marketing initiatives and public relations for the organization’s public programs.

The program, “The Value of Non-Profit Experience in the For-Profit World,” will address lessons learned in non-profit leadership and governance and how they apply in the business world – and how NPO experience helps in founding a new company.
